yep same thing happened mine, the hairdryer fix does literally work temporarily if you want to transfer stuff out to a new one.

This happened to me last November and I sent it into to Gophermods and they fixed it for $80. It still works fine but I don't use it as much as I used to so I don't know if it'll crap out again.

As far as I know they won't repair it, they offer refurbishments for €100 (HD wiped etc), some 3rd party places will re-solder it for a bit less though its never a permanent fix and will probably buy you another year. Hairdryer might buy you another month max, best to buy a new one.
