I have plenty of ghost, moruga scorpion and reaper powders and they're great but it just isn't the same as actual pepper pods.

I can't pick a favorite, though my girlfriend likes scorpion most. Ghost is the best one for chili since it has an earthy flavor. More of a dull and intense burn instead of a vibrant one like the CR. All three are excellent and I think they should have weaker versions for those of us who can't deal with it the way we do.

I'm eager for more fresh pods. I just ordered 100 grams of Chocolate Bhutlah powder from the UK. I keep hearing they're supposed to be hotter than reaper.

God damn Arkansas. Most of the websites say the fresh pods won't be available until late July or August.

Grow them yourself. Carolina Reaper is a strangely hardy plant, and will grow essentially forever if you bring it indoors over the winter.
Also get a dehydrator.

As much as I like them, I'm trying to vary it up.

I ordered 100 grams of Chocolate Bhutlah powder and a pound of Bird's Eye chili powder. Next I want 7 Pod varieties and Red Savina Habanero.

If you're growing hot peppers (or any nightshade), the best thing to feed them is piss.
Pee in your watering can, top it off with water. http://www.popsci.com/environment/article/2009-09/fertilizer-future-might-be-closer-we-think

I like Butter chicken and sushi (lol).
But yeah I can't handle anything too strong or spicy or just weird tasting. My favourite meal is low fat peanut butter on toast.

I'm the same way but seriously... Why the fuck do we do this to ourselves? I love for my throat, tongue and mouth to be completely lit up, but I can't make sense of it.

I've heard several reviewers say the Chocolate Bhutlah is hotter than Carolina Reaper so I have the powder ordered and will order a batch of fresh ones once they're available. The CR burned for 10 straight minutes before it tapered off. I'm pumped to see how all of this cross-pollenation will turn out in a few years.

So what if you grow superhot peppers hydroponically? Maybe then you could have the flavor without the heat for the people who can't take it. It seems like a good market to sell to. Mild reaper or something like that.
