I'm legitimately struggling to decide whether this season is better or worse than BB16. Like, this season has fights and drama, but it's mostly outsiders getting shit on by the house alliance. BB16 had no drama or personality of any kind, aside from fake personalities like Zach and Frankie playing to the cameras. Derrick was a fucking abomination of a TV character, but at least he SOMEWHAT earned his victory. Paul has had this game handed to him on the back of his solo returnee status.

It can't be better than BB16. That season at least had Devin.

At the moment I'd say this season is worse than BB16.

I'm not sure if it's worse than BB13 though. It might be, depending on how bad of a finish we get. 13's had a horrible endgame, but as of right now, at the F9, BB13 was much better. At least BB13 has its midgame.

Yes, Inviso, I know you like 13. You don't need to remind me.

Not trying to be hyperbolic, I suspect BB19 may go down as the worst season in the history of BB.

And coming off Survivor 34, it's been a major down year for my favorite shows. I haven't watched BBCAN5, I might just do that this week. I liked the winner in their previous season. Not sure what to expect there.

Maybe I'll need to start watching Survivor AUS. I did watch the premiere of the first (or 3rd?) season. Seemed promising.

South Pacific was worse than that, if only because Redemption Island had an incredible first four episodes and hysterical merge boot but is utter garbage otherwise, while South Pacific had a grand total of zero watchable episodes and an even less likable cast than BB19.

I am done watching BB19, though, and unless the winner is miraculously someone I find acceptable, I will never watch BB US again. I am at my breaking point and I think many other people are, too. We're never going to get back to the BB we used to know.

I'm pretty fed up with BB too, but I don't want to blame production necessarily. I think we've just had some really terrible casts the last two seasons.

17 was just all around terrible anyone I liked was either evicted early or just funny and did nothing gamewise. Not to mention the second half of the game was run by the super uninteresting twins and the super annoying Vanessa. Just for whiny floater Steve to win.

18 was less bad and could've been a lot better, but Paul pretty much ruined it for me, he had his moments and could be entertaining, but his 'strategy' of making a huge allaince just to have them bully the other housguests makes me sick and it makes me even angrier that he came back just to do it again.

As far as this season goes it had a lot of potential, I figured Jess and Cody would've worked as some great villains, but ended up being the underdogs? Paul's entire side of the house save for Kevin and Jason are unbearable, which honestly wouldn't be happening if not for Paul. Sure Alex and Josh would still act like children at moments, but they're in power all the time so it's increased tenfold. I just think Paul needs to go

Do it. I did so earlier in this topic and enjoyed it. That was last year's season (people argue as to whether it's the first or third season all the time). I plan to start up this year's season soon, since I'm no longer following Big Brother. As someone that's going to watch it, I think you should absolutely watch last year's before starting this one.

It's four years of being fed up in a row for me. BB15 was the last time I was thoroughly entertained - a bunch of assholes sending each other to Comeuppanceville was quite a bit of fun and the gameplay was stellar. BB16 had Derrick - a great but dull player - squashing any drama, plus Frankie and a very boring, predictable game. BB17 was, as Tangy said, a cast of people that were either gamebots or fun people with no game. BB18 was pretty eh and BB19 is pretty unbearable because of its unlikable cast, with King Paul ruining the potential of his minions. It's a shame that, when you think about it, the best season of the past few years was online only >_>

The more I think it over, the more I think I'm done with Big Brother for good, unless we get another BB10 "Back to Basics" sort of season.

Season 34 really wasn't that bad when you compare it to 5, 16, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, and 30.

I have 16 in italics because that is probably my most controversial season in that list that I don't like.

Actually, I thought the premerge was leaning on the edge to fun because of his close it was.

I would like to say this season isn't so bad but I have only watched 18 and 19 and I enjoyed 18 so much more.

Micronesia is one of the best Survivor seasons >_>

Game Changers is tough to place. While it did have Queen Sandra's shenanigans and some other cool things early on, those were overshadowed by "THAT," too many twists, and an obvious winner's edit. I'd probably put it in the bottom third.

Also, started up this year's AUS Survivor. Episode 1 thoughts:
Holy shit. A TIE? Because of Luke's trolling? XD, that is GREAT. This is going to be a CRAZY tribe - thinking they're all going to point fingers at each other.

I don't watch the Feeds, but the aired episodes are starting to show Alex's "petty" side pretty heavily, and it's clear she is tied to Paul quite closely. I still completely lost respect for Raven and the way she was the worst person who harassed the outside group other than Paul himself.

Josh moved up from worst players because he made it clear that his actions in the house were intentional and that he was always reminding people that even though he's being a dick, he was doing it as part of his own personal game and that they shouldn't take it seriously. I can't say it's the best tactic, but at least he's explained why he's so annoying and I understand it.

Jason and Matt are still mid-quality players that haven't done much to gain my ire, but done nothing to impress me either.

Christmas, Mark, and Kevin are still portrayed as decent human beings with likable personalities on air, and whether that's the case on the feeds or not, I really don't care, but considering that someone has to win, I'd much rather it be one of these three than anyone else.

Bare in mind that it was recently stated that his behavior is explicitly his strategy to play, and that he himself is apparently telling people to make sure they keep in mind not to take him seriously and he's doing it as part of the game in order to tilt people.

Maybe not the greatest strategy, but at least he's sounding more human and less toolish.

Good:
Cody (I don't care much for his game play, because it felt like he just refused to try. However, Cody's personality and general lack of giving even a SINGLE fuck won me over.)

Mark (He's such a lovable dork. I feel bad for him because he's been a victim in the house just like Cody, but doesn't have the sociopathy necessary to just take it and shrug it off.)

Dominique (Was one of the only people in the major alliance that seemed to have a real game plan beyond kissing Paul's ass, and her religious meltdown was pretty hilarious.)

Okay:
Megan (I feel bad for her. This is the kind of house that has no problem bullying the shit out of their chosen target, so any "I can't believe she'd just quit" annoyance has long since been erased.)

Kevin (I WANT to like him for being a goofy old man, but he just tied himself so close to Paul and has been so willing to make moves as Paul's lapdog that serve no strategic purpose beyond perpetuating the bullying mentality in the house.)

Jessica (I didn't actually care much for Jessica in the game, beyond her status as an underdog. She seemed like the kind of catty girl who, had she NOT been tied to Cody when he blew up, would've been an unbearable bitch. Her play as an underdog was just having a holier-than-thou attitude and not bothering to do anything other than mope around.)

Meh:
Elena (She didn't do a TON of stuff that made me care about her in a positive light, but she also seemed less bitchy than some of the other girls because of her ties to Mark, soooo...yeah.)

Jason (I WANT to like him because he seems like a nice guy deep down, but he's so willing to be led around on a leash by Alex, who is in turn being led around by Paul, and it's not great.)

Matthew (He's so dull and useless that it makes him one of the better cast members left in the house.)

Jillian (Completely useless personality who was never going to bring anything to the season.)

Ramses (Obnoxious "character" who played himself up in the Diary Room, but mostly just sat on his ass, not doing anything until he got sent out the door due to no one giving a shit about him.)

Cameron (Pointless character who I'm SO glad was booted early, because otherwise he'd be a Paul minion, but constantly talking about how amazing of a game player he is in the Diary Room.)

Awful:
Christmas (She's a bitch. Need I say more? She's so mean and nasty to peoples' faces when her ass should've been medevaced way back in week one.)

Raven (Hated her from day one, but that was just because she was the quirky alt chick who loved Frankie Grande. But now she's just a catty bitch who begs for sympathy and attention all the goddamn time while doing NOTHING in the house. Seriously, the ONLY thing she's done is bark like a dog on Paul's orders. Great job.)

Josh (His personality was fun at first, but he's just so obnoxious and repetitive now. It's like his goal is to create catchphrases in order to emulate Paul, which sucks because he's clearly being groomed as a final two goat.)

Alex (I loved Alex the first two weeks, and I loved that she managed to overcome a terrible start to the game, even if it meant attaching herself to Paul. But she's just so mean-spirited and petty that it contributes to a horrible atmosphere in the house.)

Season Ruiner:
Paul (Fuck Paul. His entire presence in the house is overbearing, and it's the reason why these people are behaving so despicably dirty towards each other. He talks himself up in the Diary Room SO much and gets SO much production favoritism...it's terrible.)
