^There's my reason for unfollowing someone (not the picture itself, but the message)... It's just so tiresome to go on and see the same handful of people venting about how miserable everything in their life is, day in and day out, without genuinely trying to improve anything. Most of the population has legitimate problems to contend with, that's the way of the world, and a person making themselves the centre of attention with constant pity parties becomes annoying and alienating. Once in a while we all need a good rant, but there have been a handful of women I know who can't turn it off and are such huge downers, never taking a break from the toxic whining. "Okay, we get it, your life is unsatisfying. Enjoy all this funny or interesting stuff I keep sharing while you wallow in your own shit, it's definitely a fair exchange happening across the feeds here..."

(I realize I'm being pretty negative myself, but there's no fun, jovial way to say this.)

I wish I could quit it, but there are enough people I'd lose touch with that I don't want to that I'm married to it for now. I don't like being obligated to text or talk with people for the most part, so the phone option isn't preferable over keeping FB going...

I don't use facebook myself, but sometimes I scroll through it for kicks, and it's always the same 3 or 4 people posting the same stuff ALL THE TIME

All they do is whine/complain about everything.

They post offensive content or things I constantly disagree with.
They're not very smart (say unintelligent things, share false "facts").

And this, but only when they spam it every single day.

Too many political posts that I disagree with. Namely, the anti-Trump stuff. Sometimes I unfollow. If it's too much, I end up unfriending.

I'm not on Facebook, ergo I don't unfollow anybody.

I'm far from being a Trump supporter, but the constant stream of pettiness did finally start getting on my nerves. If the CSA, Nazism, and Hillary Clinton have taught me anything, it's that fans of a loser can't let it go.

I go on Facebook for it's original purpose: Keeping up to date on your friends lives. If all you do is post news articles or click-bait crap, then I am unfollowing you. My cousin seems to post 20 - 30 times a day, but at least her posts are pictures of her kids or cool things she is doing. A couple of my friends do nothing but post pro-Trump/anit-Trump crap so they get unfollowed.

I don't unfollow, but I block some of the sources they share from because many of them are #fakenews sites like Rolling Stone (faked a rape case), Gawker (made up claim that James Franco had molested a guy), WaPo (journalists exposed making up stories, wound up having to give back a Pulitzer), etc.

I've never unfollowed anyone on Facebook since I've never had a Facebook account.

I made a Facebook and used it for about 2 months a long time ago. I don't even remember the sign in info. I was never on it long enough to unfriend anybody.

If I knew someone was gonna bother me I just didn't accept their request in the first place.
