Someone from their city and time is gonna relate and enjoy it more. I can tell you for certain that Modern Family appeals and relates to far more people though. Lost did it better even with its other shortcomings. You have Louie, Bill Burr, Doug Standhope, Jim Jeffries (not the show), Ari Shaffier, Patton Oswald, and quite a few others who are really clever and don't adhere to PC culture at all.
