just bought one at a flee market for $1. apparently it belonged to some kid who commited suicide :(

Anyways it has like this xbox battery thing inside.

Do I need a special charger for it like a camera. or can i charge it with my phone charger or something?

Also what do i need to be able to use it wirelessly?

xbox one controllers are bluetooth, as long as you have a bluetooth adapter for your pc it should connect fine. the adapter should be bluetooth 4.0 compatible

How about the charging situation. Do i need a special charging block and have to charge the battery inside the controller seperately or can i plug my controller into my phone charger?

some xbox one controllers have built in bluetooth, so if you're pc has one already no adaptor necessary, just scan, connect and play. as far as charging goes, any usb "phone charger" should work but I found I needed a charge + sync cable for it to charge vis usb (a lot of cheaper cables only charge)

The newer ones are but probably not what you have. It's all the better tbh as the Bluetooth ones have some pairing and compatibility issues in my experience. Far Cry 4 for example, doesn't work with the newer Bluetooth wireless controllers at all.

if you have an older controller (based on diagram above, check the top part of the controller) you're gonna need one of these:

Don't cheap out and go third party or driver headaches and incompatibility issues will be your future.

or you can just plug it in. so much easier. no charge issues, driver issues OR wireless issues. three birds, one stone.

For the record I think the build quality and sync consistency is better with the older controller plus dongle... I don't think it uses Bluetooth I think it uses some proprietary implementation of wifi direct.

Do they work better with PC or something? wont i still be needing some sort of dongle to use it?

I don't know how far you plan on being away from your pc, but the wired 360 controller for windows has a pretty long cord and it needs nothing extra, even the disc that comes with it isn't needed so that could work.

I don't know how far you plan on being away from your pc, but the wired 360 controller for windows has a pretty long cord and it needs nothing extra, even the disc that comes with it isn't needed so that could work.

i want to go wireless just for tidiness sake. less cords and shit all over the place know what i mean fam/
