Me: I want this car, but I'm not going to pay more than $300 a month.

Sales person: Alright sir. I'll get it done for you.

Me: Okay, but I'm not going to do more than $300 and I'm not in the mood to go back and forth with a price.

Sales person: I understand completely sir.

*5 minutes later*

Sales person: Sir, can you do $600 a month?

Me: -_-

Sales person: Let me go back to my manager.

Me: -_- Da fuck did I just say?

Or:
Sales person: We can make that $300/mo for sure! But you'll have to pay us that for 10 years.

For me it's the fear that if I sell or exchange my old car for a new one, they might run it through a possible database and find out about the hit and run (it's not what you think) which is a consequence I don't want to face. So that's why I'm trying to stay under the radar for the most part.
