No, I don't kill them dude. I had a mate who picked it up with his bare hands and put it outside. I couldn't believe he could do that tbh.

Snakes don't scare me at all... I hate spiders though. Though spiders are the most common fear among all humans on the planet. My mom is so afraid of snakes that if she sees one on TV she starts shrieking and changes the channel LOL.

We fear them BTW due to tens of thousands of years of evolution and recognizing them as a deadly threat.

Any Spider i find in my house is killed on sight.

What happens if you're laying down, you turn over, or repostition your hand, and you accidentally brush or touch a spider, and it bites you? See, what i mean? You don't have to go out of your way just to avoid getting bit when they can come to you and cause grief.

True, in my mind snakes are bigger and faster so they're scarier. But generally they're easier to avoid than spiders. You're safe in your own home. Their slithering is extremely bone chilling though

I will say this though, a snakebite is way more likely to be deadly than a spider bite

The theory I've heard most was that prehistoric humans learned to fear early arachnids which were more deadly on average. Letting a creepy crawly escape could have meant a tribe member dying later to a potent bite before the creation of anti-venoms. The instinct to swat is supposedly a reaction to avoid getting bitten. Mothers would have had a natural incentive to obliterate any dangerous invaders coming into her children's environment.

Plus the little egg legged bastards look intensely alien compared to the anatomy of other creatures we're used to. They have 8 legs, 8 eyes, large venomous fangs, and scurry about like walking detached hands.

I think jumping spiders and daddy long legs are harmlessly cute, but you have to be in deep denial to not recognize how the appearance of less docile arachnids could spark a shock response from most people. Especially when so many of them remember the first painful bite they got in childhood...

For the most part spiders don't bother me. But here in Arizona we got some big one and black widows so I keep on my toes when out in the wilderness.

They are programmed to run from big beings like us and kill all the insects that will actually bother us.

Fun fact---Spiders are not considered insects themselves. How did I not know?

Not the ones in Australia. I've read stories about how they hide in Porta potties and bite people on the junk.

they also like hiding in those flip down mirrors inside cars and jumping on your face when you need some eye shade.

all that applies to snakes for me especially the looking alien part.

I just think it's funny so many people think spiders are that much worse than snakes. if you're in a country that has a lot of both(mine, australia) you realise a spiders chance of killing you these days is like 0.1%

Snakes is considerably higher

I like spiders unless they're huge. If it's bigger than my palm, then I'm afraid

My room was recently invaded by a huge spider. Approximately almost 1-1.25x of my whole hand at the widest part

Actually I know a guy who died from complications from a red back spider bite just last year. Jayden Burleigh, look up articles about him on Google it's semi famous. Our dads were close. First spider death since 79 I think
