To be fair, there is a mod that hovers around this board simply to reign down SJW power-trippery. I haven't been impacted by them for quite some time, so maybe they've cooled it a bit, but I was getting innocuous "no karma loss" deletions pretty regularly over nothing, and it didn't seem like other users were marking me based on the interactions in the topics (and people here generally don't seem like cowards who'd snipe like that, but rather state their own position and debate back - hence why I enjoy being here).

I think you take this place too seriously and get way too worked up over some strangers' comments. The internet is just like this... I used to have meltdowns like you, but past a certain point it clicked that I was only hurting myself by caring so much about stuff that had literally no impact on any aspect of my life outside of whatever particular conversation had made me angry. I had my account suspended a couple of times from going overboard with my responses (probably 10+ years ago now) and for what?

It's not productive and the whole mood on the board goes downhill once somebody goes ballistic over things that are arguably not that out of the ordinary here. This is especially true when we hit "name-calling" territory... Take another break if you can't cope with this place, or ignore the people who get under your skin. Are you gaining anything whatsoever from being here? Not a shot being fired, but a serious question.

You're just really sensitive, and if that's who you are, whatever, but it's masochistic to keep coming back only to lose your temper on a consistent basis. It's also nave to claim that this is the only place with any negativity online... It's simply somewhere that you maybe don't mesh as well with. I have a policy of not saying things online that I wouldn't say to somebody's face, and I still run into trouble here and there.

I used to like her, but she's been pretty annoying since she closed a bunch of her accounts. She always had passive-aggressive tendencies but they've been turned up to 11 lately. If there's one thing that's still good about her as a poster, it's that she magnifies how awful some people here can be, as exemplified by this topic. And yes, I do think that matters, because everyone on PotD has such short-term memories of people being jerks.

As for good person? I'd be hesitant to say that about anybody on here. You really can't know much about people from their forum posts. It doesn't mean I'd necessary call them bad people either.

Chewy is mean sometimes but I think he's hurting inside and that makes me sad
