I've known about these things for years but finally decided to actually buy one and check it out. Now I need to figure out some cooler things to use it for besides underpowered PC. Anyone else ever use one?

I ask about the screen because I thought maybe it would be cool to make a Pi laptop, but I would have no idea how to get a laptop-style screen/mouse/keyboard to interface with the HDMI/USB ports. But if they had some kind of laptop or tablet-esque screens available it would be a start

I think they think up their project before they buy one. I do have some project ideas already, but I just wanted to hear if anybody had interesting suggestions. And I figured if I bought it, I'd actually be more inclined to commit to a project. If nothing else, it's still usable as a computer out of the box and it will give me more motivation to learn Linux. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I used one to read input from a linear actuator and then command a more powerful keyboard to do things (key presses), which in turn commanded the linear actuator to change it's position. It was for a force feedback pilot stick.
