It does take place in Japanifornia, but Maya eats burger-flavored ramen, sadly.

The movie is pretty fun for what it is.

I'd honestly give the anime more than 1-1 and part of 1-2 to prove itself. It doesn't really start finding its footing until partway through.

also Redd White's English VA is perfect and Gumshoe's is pretty great too

I'm two episodes in and I agree these are the two best voices so far.

It definitely improved toward the end of 1-2. I wish they would have made trials and investigations into separate episodes and really told more of the full story.

Haven't watched the dub yet, but I'm really confused on who the target audience is supposed to be for this. It goes too fast for people that haven't played the games to the point where reveals mean nothing, but it's too much following the games exactly to be that interesting to fans. The movie did it right by changing a few details to keep you on your toes while still staying faithful to the source.

They actually created two sub tracks for the anime. One that uses the Japanese names and the other uses the localized English names.

Definitely, he just sounds way too evil and not enough of the underlying scars that the character needs to have.

Dee Vasquez is on-point though. Makes me hope they do make a T&T season and absolutely nail Dahlia's voice.
