I would also imagine these guys with big salaries and government jobs get some sort of severance package which is probably significant. The real problem with all of the hiring / firing is the loss of institutional knowledge. I get that there's a lot of disdain for the "establishment" from all sides, and maybe there's merit in injecting fresh blood into the gov't, but at the same time, you lose decades worth of wisdom when you wipe the entire slate clean at once. --- BKSheikah owned me so thoroughly in the 2017 guru contest, I'd swear he used the Lens of Truth to pick his bracket.
