BTW, speaking as a big fan of her elbow drop, Kairi's elbow was overhyped by the announcers and it will hurt the overness of the move if they keep doing that imo. People I was watching with were like "it wasn't that great" whereas I think if they'd just not said anything about the elbow and let her just do it they would've only had good to say about it.

Like it's just not one of those moves that should be hyped in that way. Like it looks cooler than most elbow drops but I mean it's still an elbow drop. Imagine if they hyped Bradshaw's Clothesline From Hell with "wait till you see this guy's clothesline!!!"

Yeah, Lopen's got a point. He's probably one of the top Hojo experts on the board.

It's like Okada's Rainmaker, it's a short clothesline, but they don't sell it on how amazing it is, they sell on how it can end any opponent because it's an effective finisher. Okada's got much flashier moves in his arsenal, but the clothesline itself is booked most strongly.

With Hojo, the gimmick in Japan, was always she's a hard hitting athletic idol style joshi. She can tank punishment and then hits back with a spear and some hard chops. The elbow itself is great, but what made the move stand out in Japan was how it finished opponents consistently.

To be fair, she had started that spot, got on the top rope, and the countdown started. She clearly looked like she wasn't sure if she should still do the elbow drop or not, but at that point she kinda had to.

Sounds like the plan might be Rock/Rousey (depending on Rock's movie stuff) vs. Trips/Steph at Mania, and Braun will be going after Miz. I'm fine with Rousey getting the "Triple H boost." Keep that away from Braun.

Another ppv done, so I figured it's time for another title history update!

WWE Championship - AJ Styles now sits in 22nd place out of 50 superstars with 223 days as champion. Ahead of him is Undertaker with 238, followed by JBL and Yokozuna with 280 days each!

Universal Championship - Brock Lesnar increases the gap with 302 days. When/If he most likely loses the title at WrestleMania, Lesnar will have been Universal champion for 371 days!

IC - Out of 79 superstars, Roman Reigns' IC run ended in 55th place with 63 days, finishing one day behind Chyna. The Miz, now an 8-time champion, recommences his incredible climb for the top with 528 days in 3rd place! He only needs two weeks to pass Don Muraco for second, and then another 2.5 months on top of that to pass Pedro Morales for #1!

US - Bobby Roode becomes the 88th US Champion in history! Roode's 13 days currently has him tied for 86th place with Tajiri.

Raw Tag - Seth Rollins finishes at #12 with 260 days, while Jason Jordan finishes in 70th (out of 76) with 34 days. Sheamus just passes Chris Jericho for 23rd with 169 days, while record setting 5-time Raw Tag Champion Cesaro has 232 days and sits in 18th place.

Personally I feel like it's less likely to be Cena because I would expect Cena/Elias to be a singles match on that show. He can't really extend the feud beyond that point since he has to start building to his Mania match.

IDK it looked kinda like Omega and Ibushi were reuniting as a tag team.

I loved that entire segment though. Omega just breaking down in the face of his old friend as he realized just how far he'd compromised his morals with the Bullet Club. He almost wouldn't shake Ibushi's hand because he felt he didn't deserve to.

Excellent story telling.

And I'm going based off of VOW saying it's going to main event a major show, since their inside stuff on New Japan is almost always right. If it's main eventing a big show, it's going to be for the title. There's really not another big show that fits the timeline other than Dominion.

I just don't see them ending Okada's mega reign solely to give Kenny a small reign and to let Ibushi/Omega be for the title.
