I probably have passing moments where people dislike me because of outlandish opinions on a few topics, but I think Erik_P and that mod stalker were the only ones that consistently stayed on the hate train.

different people hate me for different reasons. kimbo used to like me til the sister thing and then he thought I was a degenerate.

others hate me because I made a mistake and made it sound like I am anti Semitic.

Either because I work at Burger King or the Kindle thing from several years ago. I can't think of any other legitimate reason someone here would have for disliking me.

Because I'm lonely and depressed, and vent about my problems here rather than make the necessary changes in my life to become better. People think I'm just a gimmick, rather than someone desparate for a real connection with anyone so get insulted and it just makes me feel even more worthless. Everything in my life comes back to, and confirms the things my dad always said... I'm not worth having around. I tried to get people here to prove that's wrong, but most people here would be happier if I was just never seen again. There are a few that try to help, but they're just being nice. It says much more about their kindness than it does me worth having around.

Stop thinking like that, Koga. Anyone who says or thinks you're worthless is wrong and an asshole, period. The reason you think that is because depression has that effect on the brain.

I don't know what your situation is, but if possible, I'd look into therapy. Exercise also helps get the blood flowing and helps you think positive about yourself. And if you really feel like you're worthless, then do something for others so that that's not true. Any kind of volunteer service would be helping someone else, and that's making a real difference.

I used to be down on myself, back in the first couple years that I was here. Frankly, I just got tired of being that way. I knew nobody liked me being like that, and that nothing would ever change as long as I kept that attitude.

I can't say I don't occasionally lose some hope, especially now that I'm getting older and not much has changed. But I always hang onto the belief that I'll get what I want out of life someday, and in the meantime I work on myself a little bit every day. And I learned to count my blessings and appreciate what I do have.

But to be honest, even if I occasionally feel hopeless, the thought that I'm worthless doesn't occur to me. I don't think that of anyone, barring mass killers or Hitler-esque people (and even they're at least worth studying to see how their personality/brain works for future prevention).

I used to be that way. I believed things would work out and I'd eventually find what I was looking for. I used to be quite a positive person, somewhere over the last few years, I lost that. I guess all the negativity I had bottled up finally popped and just over ran everything. Now I'm stuck in this stupid hopeless mindset and I can't figure out how to go back. I was much happier then and mostly in the same situation, I don't know what changed.
