Because they wouldn't be any more healthy than the organs you have

I always said the greatest MOBA teams would be 5 of yourself. That would be sick.

Also I'm super down with the brain dead version that I can harvest organs from.

The mere practice of it doesn't cause me any problems, but I see more possibilities for it being abused than for it being used to a good or beneficial effect.

For one thing our population on the planet is, at this point, unsustainable. Being able to just make more people is unnecessary.

because he is a clone of my current self, not my aging self in the future? why something so obvious has to be repeatedly questioned?

Neutral leaning towards possibly good, at least just in the sense that I don't think cloning taken alone means a ton. Although yeah, I could definitely see how the process itself would be abused - that's kind of what we as humans tend to do. Not sure how exactly that would work out, especially since just cloning a person doesn't mean you're gonna get an exact copy as far as I know, but I understand the concern. Iirc it's technically illegal to do, at least in America. But let's be real, even with drops in fertility in some places on Earth, still, we don't need any more people. In my lifetime there will likely come some point of reckoning about overpopulation, at least in certain places.

i don't understand you.
- you can store your DNA data right now and clone yourself later.
- why would i made the clone now when i dont need his organs right now?

It would still take decades for the clone to be fully grown, and it would be decades less healthy than you are now
