7 on average. I'm not great at going to bed when I'm suppose to. My wife has to tell me to go to bed so I can keep a good schedule.

I need at least 5 to function. But I'm fully energized with 8. I have a bit of a phobia of sleeping for 10 hours or more because of claims that it's harmful.

I can usually operate at maximum capacity at about 4 hours if I absolutely must awaken. 5-7 if i'm just sleeping to relax.

2-3 hours and i'll be somewhat sluggish(Like today, for instance) but i'm able to wake up completely with a bit a coaxing.

I've had that. It's depressing. I've also had where I only slept 3-4 hours a night for 4-5 days in a row. By the 3rd day I could feel the drag hours after waking up

7-7.5 with alarms.
Otherwise it'll be about 10.5, pretty consistently.

All of ya'll sleeping 6 and less consistently are going to get some real nice chronic sleep deprivation going on, although if you make up for it with huge snoozefests on weekends...eh.

Two hours is about the most I can get at once. After that its just a lot of turning back and forth with my eyes closed pretending to sleep basically. Being in bed more than a couple hours leaves me extremely groggy all day anyways.

That's one of the dangers. Your brain becomes dependent on that amount of sleep a day. My job hours will not allow 12 hours of sleep.

Used to get 5-6 during the work week then make up for it on weekends, 8-10...

But with a baby now, its probably more like 4 during the week and 5 or 6 on weekends. :(

If I drink I can get around 6, but I'm usually around 4-5. Never even have to set the alarm clock (unless I'm drinking). I even wake up during those 4-5 hours for a few seconds. Drives me nuts, but I'm never really tired. I just like sleeping, you know?

Actually, as I understand it, this is the unhealthiest way to get sleep.

https://sleep.org/articles/ok-to-sleep-in-on-weekends/

You should be sleeping on the same schedule regardless of the day.

Not everyone can work from home and complain about once a month 7am skype calls. Some of us have bootstraps to pull.

3. Me working from home doesn't magically give me all this extra time. I usually work 10-11 hours a day.

I've noticed this too. When I work from home, I get too zoned into my work. Before I know it, it's 7pm and my wife is asking me if I'm ever going to close the laptop. lol

It's alarmingly easy to work more than I should from home because it's just so convenient. If I think about something for work during dinner, I can just go take care of it shortly after that.

I have to keep my laptop in my backpack to keep myself from doing that.

Working from home also throws my meal schedule all off. I forget to take a break and go eat something.
