Yes. Havent used it much, though. France, South Africa, and parts of Canada.

Yup but I've only used it once when I went to Amsterdam.

G Other

I have two valid passports with different passport numbers, but they're both Canadian passports.

I got a second one because I had to surrender my passport the first time I went to Angola so they could process my Visa. Got a second one to make sure I could get home if there was an emergency or they didn't get my Visa done in time.

It has caused a ton of confusion for poor security folk who notice it (such as when I applied for my Nexus Card or TN Visa)

Truly nowhere too exciting. Quite a bit of travel between the US and Canada and a few trips to Mexico.

Out of curiosity, why? When I got married and took my wife's last name, I got a new passport, but they sent my old one back to me with a hole through it so it's unusable. How did you have two valid passports in different names?

Well, I think she said one was ruined. So, probably unusable...

Also, I have one. It's my second. The first is expired... only used it to go to New Zealand and Australia. Well, and back. Haven't had to use the newer one yet...

I didn't say both were valid

At this point the first passport is expired for a few years. When it got washed years ago, I needed to get a new one with a different name. I applied for a passport in the new name. It has a different number and some other things.

That washed passport is way too fucked up to try and use. It washed my stamps out partially yet there's still writing and dates marked on pages. It's just in my documents drawer with other stuff as a funny memento

Oh yeah the pages turned pink from the dye and the passport cover stained a shirt with a blue patch. Don't wash your passports

Why you end up having a name change? I think maybe you've mentioned before, but I can't remember.

For my part, I was surprised at how easy it was. I'd heard horror stories from guys who'd taken their wives names and gotten accused of fraud and stuff. I never had any trouble in my county. I'm always curious about name change stories.

Marriage and divorce. First passport was married name, second was birth name. It was easy to get in both cases with the right documentation. Probably more difficult for men, though men changing surnames with marriage is becoming more common. I'd have to ask my friends that have done it... Don't think they have passports.

Amusingly, on my first passport they never put in my middle name. I tried to get them to add it when I got a new passport and they told me no. Said that because it wasn't on the first one, they wouldn't add it to the new one.

Seemed weird and probably wrong, but didn't seem worth arguing over either.

That's funny. Just make sure you get plane tickets without your middle name. They get mad if the name doesn't exactly match.

That's pretty ridiculous. Bring a birth certificate and get a brand new one. Like with a new number and everything. That should work... maybe...

Nope. I don't go outside of my country although with that said I probably should get one for identification at some point. That might be a bit difficult though as I don't have a original copy of my birth certificate for reasons.
