Yeah, the LG OLED picture is pretty awesome. I had a Super Bowl party at my place and didn't specifically mention that it was a new TV, and a couple of people commented on the picture quality. And FWIW, sports isn't even the best way to showcase that TV -- it's best watching more cinematic pieces where the contrast and dark levels can shine. But the benefit of sports is that there is no visible motion blur (with the right settings).

main thing is turn the HDR on
nothing else really matters much method for doing that is less than obvious because LG hates their customers: Enter Settings (long press the button with the gear icon on the lower right of the remote). Click General (the button with the gear and wrench). Scroll down to the bottom and click HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Color. Switch the port or ports youre using for HDR input to On. --- And when the hourglass has run out, eternity asks you about only one thing: whether you have lived in despair or not. ...
