Just 2 Days after one of the worst mass shootings in America that left 17 students and teachers dead, the NRA has released a video explaining why firearms SHOULDN'T be regulated and urged politicians to AVOID a regulation vote!!

The shocking video by the NRA uses WW2 era Britain as an example of why firearms shouldn't be controlled as the 1963 fotage of "The Big Picture" a documentary produced by the US Army Signal Corps are told why guns are essential to US citizens, including the AR-15!!

The narrator says "there will always be bad guys" and "careless people" who have access to firearms but that shouldn't lead to restrictions as they draw similarities between banning guns because of shootings to banning cars because of road accidentss.

They also used Britain as an example of why guns should remain unchanged speaking to the rescue of British Troops from Dunkirk that saw British leave tonnes of military equipment on the beaches of France leaving British people weak against the enemy

The narrator says "In Great Britain, gun legislation of this kind almost ended in disasater. The nation was threatened with imminent invasion by Hitler's forces and they were defenseless to fight back. Ten Downing Street urgently requested aid from the United States. America responded and sent shiploads of arms to the embattled British, helped turn the tide"

But the depiction that the UK was on the brink of collapse is untrue. What's true was that the US did supply them with arms during WW2, a lack of superiority in the air above Britain the English Channel meant that they were never seriously considered.

The video also suggests that the bad guys will not be stopped from getting guns and that it's dangerous to take guns away from the law abiding ones that will "save them". It says guns will save a life, not take it and that a potential government attack on its citizens is IMMINENT if gun regulation is passed!!

The NRA video was in response to the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman after the gun depate as re-opened and the people are sending a signal to politicians who don't vote for change and are being sponsored by the heavily lobbied NRA. They too are threatening politicians who vote to change gun laws and will stop funding candidates that do.

NRA doesn't allow guns at their national convention. You'd think with all those good guys with guns they'd have nothing to worry about.

They're just capitalist monsters who help spread hatred against minorities and immigrants and Muslims so that people will want to go out and buy weapons they don't need, then tries extra hard to profit off of the shootings they ultimately had a hand in helping make possible. They have their cake and are eating it, too.

Why would they be afraid of guns at one of their conferences? What possible reason could there be other than that they know they profit off others suffering and misfortune, and that people might actually want to punish them for their actions.

And yet in spite of this, they'll continue spreading that "good guys with guns/ if everyone has guns nobody would try using theirs for evil" myth.

Why hasn't any psychopath gone and killed people at the NRA? Idk I'm not a psychopath. You'd have to ask them. That's like asking why did that dude in Vegas specifically choose that specific concert to hail bullets down on people. No one knows. He's a lunatic. Lunatics don't exactly have a rhyme or reason to their madness. Maybe it's because people who hate the NRA aren't bloodthirsty gun nuts....

They actually have hundreds of thousands to spend on security to secure the perimeter, check every single person, eject anyone who shouldn't be there or who is suspicious, etc. Meanwhile they say that arming a handful of teachers at school will suffice in stead of that.

Cosmic, it isn't mentally ill people who carry out these attacks. Most are sane. Under 3% of these attacks are linked to mentally ill people and often they were still linked to some hate group or other community that created an echo chamber calling for violence. Mentally ill people are more likely to be victims of violence, and the extent of being perprators of such acts usually consists of suicide statistics. Plus the fact that mental illnesses are often plagued with impulsivity. By and large, only neurotypical people can actually plan and arrange for such attacks and carry them out months later. Please don't perpetuate that mental illness myth.

What's wrong with laws that screen for mental stability and check your mental health background before you are allowed to buy a gun? Besides being a small inconvenience this doesn't affect you well behaved republican gun owners. You get to keep your guns and these POS school shooters have less of a chance to commit the act!!
