I care less about a game being 60FPS and more about it having a stable framerate.

Similarly I don't care how much technological power is making this detailed rendering of a game world if it's all to show me bland and/or realistic textures of browns and grays.

So what's important to me is a stable framerate and art direction/design.

There's too much emphasis on raw tech power that it becomes the video game equivalent of a dick measuring contest.

An unstable 60 FPS game is more preferable to an unstable 30 FPS game though, I'm sure you'd agree

Nier Automata is mostly browns and grays and yet the art design makes it feel quite unique in a world full of them, in that sense I feel that good art design doesn't have to mean cel-shaded/cartoony art style.

Is that a choice we often have to make? Seems more like the choice tends to be unstable 60, or stable 30.

I don't mean cel-shaded/cartoony, I just mean using colors that aren't washed out grays and browns.
