Magic is disgusting if you use the crafting system and get the right upgrades for it

Magic can get better? So far I hate using it and haven't wanted to invest ap into it.

Magic can get much better, in fact people are abusing the fact you can earn a crap ton of exp and AP for just using magic. You'll need some late game stuff and its tedious but it can cut a crap ton of time grinding for them. But magic works best in the post game dungeon that doesn't allow you to use items.

Also I really like the post game dungeon that is 100% platformer and puzzle with no combat. Though I really think they should've implemented and spread those ideas out towards other parts of the other caves and dungeons in the game.

Im glad you liked the postgame dungeon, but I strongly disagree.

Why not? Most of the dungeons were pretty linear hallways, adding puzzles or platforming would help break up the monotony in my opinion.

Also, those two weapons they give you for free, Ragnarok and murasame, are still so much better than anything else I've found still. They have damage equivalent to some of the royal arms I've found so far.

Everyone saying magic sucks didn't play the post game.

You can absolutely plow through the story without it but it's comically broken in some ways, and the post game helps teach you that. You can gain like 15 levels in a couple minutes through it lol.

Well fuck. I had no idea the Ragnarok weapon was so comically broken. They give it to season pass people and it's the most powerful weapon in the game because of its warp strike damage.

The more I play, the more I like it. Well, the sections I'm in now anyway. That may change once it gets into layer chapters.

3 still. I honestly just enjoy doing hunts and side quests and stuff.
I am cheesing the game by using the royal raiment and Ragnarok weapon for ultra high damage warp strike spam, but its fun.

I've been banking all my xp this chapter. I'm 17 now, and with my travel pack dlc the galdin quay hotel x3 boost, I already have enough xp to hit 25ish. I haven't rested so I can get a huge boost. Still have more quests to do before I cash in. Those 9999 damage warp strike spams help so much lol.

I heavily enjoyed the game, and the ending actually boosted my grade.

Just a quick thing, try to do the camp quests they are pretty good. Prompto's really says a lot about his character.

Magic is good for huge amounts of special effects, you get enough places to recharge everywhere so don't just hoard it.

I would personally recommend doing most of the side stuff before beating the story, as growing out the bro relationship us pretty much what the game is about.

If you have the dlc play Gladio's after you beat Chapter 7. You can wait until post game with Ignis and Prompto.

You could play Prompto's during chapter 14, but you will probably be caught up in finishing the game.

Ignis is definitely post game, but is probably the best one.

I have every single piece of dlc available currently so I'll do that. Thanks.

I've been doing the camp quests. And I do all side content available before progressing the story anyway so that's good.

Yeah it's easily the most exploitable level system outside of FF8, learning to horde exp and trade it all in at once at a high multiplier is just the beginning.

I'll just say magic is the key to true shenangins.

Y'all keep talking about magic and its making me curious.

I dunno man, Ragnarok doing 9999 damage warp strikes even at level 17, against level 27 enemies, is pretty broken.

And yeah it definitely reminds me of ff8 leveling. Big time.

I honestly never really figured out magic beyond being able to make like the second tier of spells. I mustve missed something, but it mattered little.

Ragnarok that came with the season pass, is the best weapon in the game apparently. Because of its warp strikes.
