It does not spoil Avengers in any way. It does refer to the avengers movie though. This show is likely going to go heavy tie in with avengers in the last 2 episodes.

Well, there is one thing said in the very last scene which could be an avengers spoiler, but I mean... It is something that obviously is going to happen in avengers so I find it safe. (It might not even be though either).

It really isn't a spoiler. It is actually something that happened in avengers 1 basically.

He just says that the Earth still has resources even though the blue gem is no longer there.

If that refers to Infinity War, it is in a way that it doesn't have to for it to be a spoiler. Blue gem has not been on Earth for awhile. The Tesseract.

Early on they were stuck in a holding pattern waiting for Winter Soldier to hit theaters. After that the connections to the movie universe have loosened up and they have been able to do their own thing. It got a lot better after that but I guess it depends on what you really hated about the 1st season. Plot and pacing get better but if you just absolutely hated the actors playing the characters then I am afraid you are out of luck there.

I've been impressed with how well Agents of Shield reacts to the movies in the MCU as the movies often force the plot into a mandatory direction which doesn't always seem intended at the start of the season.

And now I'm trying to follow too much now and don't have time to watch it now that it doesn't suck.

I made it into season 2, but despite the recommendations to return to it, I just can't stick it into my schedule at this point. Same reasons though. I've also dropped most every superhero show from DC or Marvel aside from Legends of Tomorrow at this point, though.

What I find most refreshing about it compared to stuff like Arrow, is it doesn't get bogged down in relationship melodrama. Like there's a little bit of it, with one relationship in particular in Season 3, but when it happens it's usually believable and not forced in just for the sake of having drama. But for the most part the show is just fun, good entertainment. Season 4 is one of the best seasons of television I've ever seen.

Man, I stayed with the show to Ghost Rider and it never really felt like it got "better". It was always just okay to me, but honestly really boring and meandering most of time.

I haven't been super into this season tbqh. I loved S4, but S5 so far has just kind of felt...meh. It hasn't really achieved the heights of S4, and there's just something missing. I think the first half of the season was way too slow and not really for any good reason. It felt like they were just kind of biding their time to fill up the season, not for any particular reason. You had a villain with a potentially interesting backstory in Sinara (and dat fucking theme) but it was just kinda glossed over and ignored so we could have ANOTHER "Daisy feels guilty over something" storyline. Jemma gets "enslaved" but it doesn't really create anything interesting for her character. May gets hamstrung just so they're handicapped on a combat level. Deke and Yo-Yo get way too much screentime...

And now, after that part of the story is done, on Earth it's just been more "Heeeeere's Hydra!" stuff and none of it is just clicking for me. There's been some great episodes this season, but overall it's probably my least favourite season since 1 or 2.

Well, I mean the show isn't like a God Tier show. It has obvious limitations with budget, long seasons, and material.

But, compared to what the other superhero shows have devolved to, this show is light years better currently.
