Arabs didnt conquer Egypt until literally thousands of years after their civilization reached its peak. Black Nubians ruled that country long before that.

I just wonder why try to claim Egypt instead of raising awareness about the Ancient Nubian civilization. It had pyramids, dynasties, trade with India and China, conflict with Egypt and Rome....there's a ton of history there. Trying to make Egypt theirs is unnecessary.

Egypt was a multiethnic society not so unlike America today.

The predominant race was North African (which is not black), there were also Nubians, Greeks, and Assyrians.

Egypt probably had periods of different race frequencies just considering how long it existed, but it was never a "black society" so it's kind of an odd one to claim for a black nationalist.

there are other cultures in sub-sahran Africa that built different kinds of structures, including stone, though.

it's pretty offensive to dismiss entire groups of people as being hut dwelling, but even more so to somehow dismiss their worth, even if true.

to be fair these same people also try to claim Roman empire and medieval europe and ancient china and stuff. certain Nation of Islamists try to act like every major figure in history was secretly a black person and that people white washed them in the history books. if so many black people were legendary scientists and explorers and kings and such, then how did white people ever even get into power? that's the big logic flaw with the nation of islam. their story makes no sense

Egypt has a fascinating history. If you're part of, or identify with a group [blacks] that has been largely shit on wherever and whenever in history, it makes sense to want to have a connection with some of that legacy, or other sucessful peoples.

Africa has a rich history, it's just reduced to slavery and genocide though when it's taught, that and fuck white people. The low points are focused on and the achievements ignored.

Honestly, from what I understand, Egypt was ruled by various different races throughout ancient to modern history. One scientific research suggests that modern Egyptians aren't even related to ancient Egyptians--the latter of which are related more to the modern Levantine population.

People claiming that Ancient Egypt was consistently ruled by a black elite are bullshitting, and don't know any more than an actual historian, archeologist, anthropologist, scientist etc.

When Cleopatra ruled Egypt, the Great Pyramid was 2500 years old.

Cleopatra died about 2000 years ago. So the Great Pyramid was older to Cleopatra than Cleopatra is to us.

like I said, I think for most of history brown people ruled. they had black people in their society but I think actual black rulers was for a minor part of egypt's history

There's no difference black people have brown skin. arabs are native to the arabian peninsula Black people from Africa have different types of features depending on the region. Ethiopians don't look exactly the same as west africans and they don't like the same as egyptians but they are all black. Even the art work and cultural artifacts of the african civilizations are way more closely related than to those from Europe or the Middle east
