I didn't even know and neither did they right at first and you connect on a surface level but there are differences that come up that get miscommunicated. It has a great chance to be a meaningful relationship. Both of mine were. you can prove the doubters wrong. At 31 you are basically at a certain point in your life too. People come out of college. And have breakups with their college sweethearts too. I had no issue thought she was mature but then suddenly she wasn't. At 24 it was the same thing but reversed. There are sometimes differences that aren't apparent at first is all. There are 45 year olds who marry 25 year olds. 31 and 24 is not a big age difference. It's more about where the two people are. 31 and 24 are sometimes a weird age that way though.
