I mean it's so easy..

Anything lower than -30 = Freezing to death

-10 to -30 = Freezing cold

-0 to -10 = Very cold

0 to 5 = Cold

5 to 10 = A bit cold

10 to 15 = Average

15 to 20 = A bit warm / coatless weather

20 to 30 = Summer

30 to 35 = Very warm

35 to 40 = Scorching heat

40+ = Unhandleable heat

I'm American and know how Celsius works because I spent 5 years using it because nobody used Fahrenheit where I was living.

It makes no difference to me which one you use because they both convey identical information.

Apparently. I remember I had a conversation with some guy here where he said that if the majority says that something is right, then it's right. So like if a parent named their child "Joe" with the intent for it to be pronounced "Joey", but everyone pronounced it like the regular "Joe", then the latter was the correct pronunciation. That baffled me.

Fahrenheit: "Let's pick some arbitrary thing's temperature and make it 32."
Celcius: "Let's pick some arbitrary thing's temperature and make it 0."
Kelvin / Rankine: "Let's define zero as the lowest possible temperature that can exist."

I'd say celcius isn't much more sensible than fahrenheit, in that regard. Celcius makes more sense to me because I'm used to it, but if I actually think about it, it's really just as arbitrary and nonsensical - the only real difference is how much of a change 1 degree represents.

Yes but think about it in the terms of the ordinary man and woman on the street.

A baseline should be 0, it is in most other walks of life. Anything below zero - freezing anything above - normal. Simple.

It's kinda true in regards to linguistics, except for proper nouns like the name, because that's how language work. I say kinda true because you don't need a majority, and you can have multiple correct usages, or pronunciations.

It's generally more expressive over a broader range of temperatures that people live in which is why people tend to find it comfortable.

So would you support a temperature system where 100000 degrees is equal to 120 Fahrenheit because it's much more expressive?
