Wow, you're pretty severely underpaid, unless it's your first year in the industry. Are you brand new to the industry? Minimum wage this year in CA for a software engineer is above 90k, so they're already under paying you. You should be making a bit more

I feel like such a slacker compared to these over-achieving geeks.

realistically, the average salary for entry positions is about 50k in other areas

The quote is from CS career questions. They all feel entitled to 6 figures

And my GPA is fine. It's above a 3.0
