Don't give her your number or put her number in your phone. Tell her your phone is dead or you left it in your car and have her text you her favorite emoji in front of you. This is the new way to get a girls number and avoid fakes. It also sets you up nicely for a friendly conversation afterwards.

lol holy shit what terrible advice. how about instead of lying or making up fake stories, after agreeing to swap numbers, just say "here, give me your phone" and enter your number and text yourself and then save your name in her phone. that way when you text back, you know it's not going to be a bunch of random numbers and it will be your name and she'll think "oh it's this guy, he was so cool"
