Oh, I get it! I am a very good developer, happily living my life, when I see our Country going in the wrong direction (to put it mildly). Against all odds, I decide to run for President & continue to run my business-very legal & very cool, talked about it on the campaign trail.......Lightly looked at doing a building somewhere in Russia. Put up zero money, zero guarantees and didnt do the project. Witch Hunt!

Lmao, I love how slowly these posts are shifting.

Let's all chant the narcissist's prayer:

A Narcissist's Prayer

That didn't happen.
And if it did, it wasn't that bad.
And if it was, that's not a big deal.
And if it is, that's not my fault.
And if it was, I didn't mean it.
And if I did...
You deserved it.

Heres my biased take:

The original framers of the Constitution did not intend on Presidential impeachment to be something you can use to go back Before someone became President to try and get them out of office.

What was the guy supposed to do if he lost the election? He would pick up his business life where he left off. He was well within his right to continue running his businesses until the election was resolved. He had no choice but to continue to run his businesses until he was confirmed to have won the election. Well within his right.

How can one commit an abuse of their office if they arent even in office yet?

Now if its collusion to win the election, yes, thats a problem. Simply finding out Trump had a plan to build something over in Russia, while never going thru with it, for the sake of his business, is not collusion.

Try getting perfect proof. Pretend this is a trial for murder. We need to know EVERYTHING. I need a murder weapon. I need the dna evidence on the murder weapon and I need Trumps fingerprints on the weapon. I need the dead body. I need Trumps dna on the body. I need to know when this person was murdered and where Trump was at the time.

Lets get some real proof. Theres really strong reasonable doubt; especially when nothing was even built.

Give Trump a fucking break, OK. He didn't know he was actually gonna become president when he tried to gift the leader of a hostile foreign nation with a free condo so he could curry favor with that hostile nation. Trump is the real victim here. You can't just expect that a guy running for president will actually become president. If Trump wasn't president then nobody would have a reason to look at his business dealings, so that free condo would have been brushed under the rug with no problem.

Did I get that argument right, Caution?

Again, it's not illegal to conduct business. What is illegal, running for president or not, is for an American company doing business abroad to bribe foreign government officials. Cohen admitted to attempting this and admitted that he lied about it under oath. Whether or not Trump had knowledge of this might be debatable, but I emphasize that his attorney admitted it, and admitted that he attempted to cover it up.

Alright, I think I figured it out.

Cohen's plea deal with Mueller is basically amounting to throwing Donnie Jr. under the bus with the Russian deal and that's why it sounds like he's cracking.
