Which one? There have been thousands across history. Early man and other civilizations likely thought of the sun as a god, and today we know what it is.

If you're specifying the Christian god, either way I say no, he/she/it does not exist. The entire concept is a human invention, and until concrete evidence comes forth or a god shows itself to us it will always remain a myth.

Until I have reason to believe otherwise, no.

The safe bet is to not believe in things with 0 evidence. It's weird how different we treat believing in God compared to believing in Bigfoot. I guess I just find believing to be pointless as a concept.

Yet neither has observable evidence as we speak, which currently makes them as equally plausible as anything else. Their actual functions are meaningless until they prove to exist.

I've read the Bible. That is not evidence. A book treating something as if it exists does not prove it exists. We have no tangible evidence of the existence of a God, past or present. If the Bible proves God exists, then all holy texts prove all gods exists.

Like I said, I simply cannot believe in things. I am open to literally anything existing, but things basically don't exist before evidence

Yes but I don't think 'God' is the right word for it, even 'Nature' is a better term.

Surely there is some higher form of consciousness out there which is in some way responsible for existence. We do not know whether this is perceivable, which perhaps leads to atheism, however there being no explanation at all for why the Universe exists is the least likely potentiality. Therefore it makes sense to follow the 'will to believe' doctrine.

I'm starting to think this too given recent scientific research into consciousness.

How was the universe created?

Depending on who you ask, this question doesn't make sense. But I lean towards it manifested out of the "void" under certain physical conditions and continues to "expand" today. You would call that the Big Bang.

Our current understanding of physical laws are incomplete so I wouldn't rely on them for a thing such as a God. The Christian God isn't the only God anyway.

But where did the laws of the universe come from ?

Doesn't make sense that something can come from nothing.

Christians and any other organized religions are just giving a biased point of view on the issue.

Funny thing is that religious people tend to also be the same people that believe in ghosts.

Do they think people are somehow able to refuse being sent to heaven or hell and decide to just go home? Lol

I'm sure God exists, but it's probably not in a way we think lol. It's probably something significantly less significant, and some godly figure of sorts maybe had a hand in creation but does not active influence the world. And that godly figure may just be some crazy space phenomenon. The space is immeasurably wide and we can't fully rule anything out or even clearly define what it is to be a being. Could literally be some amorphous thoughtless thing creating phenomenon in pure randomness that we can still ultimately call "God" but it wouldn't mean anything to us in the end.
