Ever since I got a modern HDTV last year for gaming, I've been unable to play most of my other consoles. You know, because a lot of modern TVs don't have scart outlets or whatever. Basically, I can play on my 360 my Wii U, my Switch, and my Wii (with very bad graphics). I can't play on my N64, my Saturn, etc.

The solution is to get an HMDI to scart converter lead. There are expensive, about 40, but this is fine with me. The problem is that the graphics still might look pretty bad. I've seen how the Wii looks with an HDMI cable, and it's blurry, pixellated, pretty bad. I'm not sure if I need to buy something else as well, and how it'll look.

I'm cut off from 7 consoles, and many, many games. What should I do, CE? Do I buy the HDMI to scart convertor, and then something else, or what?

Pay for Nintendo Online subscription for NES games. Buy a SNES Classic for the obvious and get Sega Genesis Classics. No need for extra bull shit.

They take up a lot of space, though. I'm not sure if I really have it.

What are they for? It might have. Does that mean I don't need the HDMI to scart converter?

Check the back of your TV right now. Then check the cords you have for the consoles. Do the colors match?

Check your console leads , ie say gamecube / ps2 one for instance, it has red, yell, white plugs bits on the end of the cable, look at the back of your tv to see if it has matching inputs for those

I guess. Maybe I could play some of the consoles all along.

I do miss playing on my N64. I haven't played on my Mega Drive in years and years, though. But I do have quite a few of the games ported to other consoles.

I just run everything through my PC and monitor.

My only TV is a CRT and I only ever use it for classic games. I do think about upgrading it sometimes but I can't stand the though of input lag on Mike Tyson's Punch-Out. I have tentative plans to take it out of the case and build an arcade cab around it when it's time to retire it from its current spot.
