I suppose it's possible that a random schmo in Gastonia (which is in my state) somehow got his hands on a copy of this game, but having worked retail for most of the last 20 years, I can tell you that it has been a long, long time since game companies sent out their product more than a few days in advance. Hell, sometimes the big box retailers (Walmart, Target, Best Buy) don't even get their copies until actual release day.

There is no way we can avoid spoilers over a month early unless we leave the internet completely. The game was ready for a 2018 release but since Square is incompetent, they opted for late January due to strategic purposes. The game should have came out this month.

I don't know if it's that the English dubbing took longer, but that they got behind. I saw on Twitter a few months back where Jessica DiCicco (Olette) was talking about she hadn't even been called in to start recording yet.

I wouldnt be surprised if the game have gone Gold already, it takes time to press all discs, print all manuals and ship it all around the world.
