Half Life segmented is probably my favorite of all time. Half Life 2 any% is pretty fun as well. I also used to watch Cosmo a lot, so his Wind Waker and Ocarina of Time runs are fun.

Probably GBA Fire Emblem games tbh. I especially liked that one GDQ speedrun where an underleveled Lyn killed the final boss. It's just kinda fascinating to me how what should be instant reset-worthy moves just work due to how thoroughly these games have been solved.

One of the Yoshi's Island speedruns Trihex did at a GDQ. There's just so much unnecessary tech just for swag, and what is necessary is just fucking amazing. I love it.

No. Try speedrunning SMB1's route while using the glitches and you'll realize that some games are significantly harder using glitches. Also, as stupid as it may seem, I loved the Final Fantasy 1 speed run. All the info on how it actually works, the manipulations to the data tables they have to do, mapping the perfect paths to get ideal encounters... so much work to make it work just right.
