Its easily in my top 5 anime of all time now, and it hurts that Ive been sleeping on it.

Maybe Im too vanilla, but Izuku really is my favorite character. I also went from finding All-Might to be a bit campy, to being a damn burning ray of inspiration. Amazing character development all around.

Also, I dont think Ive audibly cheered at a moment in a show in quite some time like I did for Thats because I didnt put my back into it

Coincidentally so did I (well, I had been watching it weekly on Toonami but they hit the end of Season 3 on Saturday.)

All For One was the best IMO even though he didn't have too big a presence until Season 3. He stole the scene every time he was around. Mirio also jumped super high on my list despite only being around for basically 1 episode lol. Todoroki was my favorite of 1-A but Izuku is okay too.

Good anime.

Yup. The fight between Midoriya and Bakugo at night cemented it for me. Its one of my favorite anime series. I cant wait for the next season.

Tokoyami (Best quirk, one of the best designs, great personality, overall top tier birb boi)
Kacchan (Would probably be top easily if he wasn't such a gigantic cock at the start)

Great tier - mostly better than decent due to fun designs or quirks

i feel like the praise for the show is really overblown. i mean its a solid shonen; it hits the tropes well and has a fun cast, but i dont think its too much more than that. ive seen people simultaneously praising mha and badmouthing black clover when the shows seem to be pretty much the same thing

I really like him. He seems pretty humble considering how much he has accomplished and the explanation of how the "warping" aspect of his power works, is awesome. It's also terrifying to think he loses all physical sensations in those brief moments.

Rankings of the students. It should also be said that All-Might is my second favorite character in the series out of everyone. My number one among the classmates is my number 1 character, then All-Might, and then the list after that.

7. Tokoyami (I figured he would be top tier with most people. His design and quirk are cool, but he's kind of the generic dark and cool character, but the series knows that. I'm sure he's going to get a huge moment later in the series)
8. Yaoyorozu (cool quirk and down to earth personality, just needs more screen time)

9. Kaminari (He charms me sometime and I like his quirk. Needs to step it up though)

I think MHA has some parts that feel particularly novel to me within the battle shonen genre, at least what I've read, so that's what I like most about it. Occasionally it slips into more familiar territory. The upcoming arc isn't one of my favorites, but I'm looking forward to what comes after.

I agree that MHA is getting severely overhyped, but it's way better than garbage like Black Clover

I don't think MHA is noteworthy for breaking any kind of new ground but I do think it's noteworthy for executing a relatively standard formula extremely well.

I actually disagree with this, I think what makes him stand out to me is how actually friendly he is despite being so dark and edgy. The generic thing to do would be make him kind of an asshole/standoffish but "comes through and does what matters in the end, secretly has a heart of gold" but what he actually is.....is just this big ol dork who just likes darkness. He's actually quite cooperative and trusts in others. Really really cool, and my personal favorite character of the series even if he's only a supporting. Also he has a Jojo Stand as a quirk.

And the thing with MHA is that it's absolutely shonen through and through....but it does shonen extremely well, better than most other shonen. It learns from and avoids trappings from previous 2000s shonen that it's inspired by.

I like this show

I've always found All Might to be pretty great, ever since the "you can be a hero" scene. I can't think of another paragon of a hero meant to emulate Superman/Captain America done as well as him. Most things can't pull it off so they resort to doing a cheap parody like a Major Glory or something.

All-Might legitimately inspires me. I love how much emphasis he focus on saving someones emotional well being, and not just their physical safety.
