I was paying with the card and going through the prompts. Right after I signed my name, she said "Just press yes at the next box and you're all set" so I look at it and it's a fucking newletter sign up. So I loudly say NOPE! as I click the "no thanks" box and then just stare at her eyes the entire time until she gave me the receipt lol

If any establishment asks for my phone, email, address, business, etc, I always just say "no thank you." 9/10 times they just say ok and move on, if they give you shit just ask them what do they need that info for, and refuse again based on the answer.
