She made this long post(a few paragraphs) about how she matched with this guy on Bumble, and they made plans to hang out that night. She explains that he messaged her a few hours before saying he was stuck at work later, and that they might have to meet a bit later that night or reschedule.

She didnt hear back from him for a bit, but assumed they were still on to meet that night. But as she was getting ready and putting make up on, he just straight up unmatched her without saying a word.

The last part of her status was saying about how men are pigs, but none of it was really offensive honestly. Just typical feminist post.

Later that night she revealed that Facebook actually removed her post for offensive content. Thats CRAZY to me that FB is censoring that much. Not a good sign of things to come.

Why is Facebook monitoring that type of content in the first place?

how men are pigs,

That would be a gross generalization of a whole sex/gender of people based on the actions of one or a few.

Isn't that sexism? Why is your friend a sexist?

Well, do you want FB to edit our posts and remove only the offending sentence instead?

There is no "would of", "should of" or "could of".
There is "would've", "should've" and "could've".

What gets me is how does FB know? Do they read every post? Or do people actually have FB friends that report posts lol?

The fact that someone would post that is cringe, but yes, Facebook censoring it is concerning.

Yeah it was a stupid ass status and was annoying for sure. But Facebook shouldnt be censoring it. If she wants to be sexist, thats on her.

Being sexist is not feminist, for starters.

But it was probably someone who reported it that brought it to facebooks attention, and they removed it because it is sexist, albeit not in a hateful way.

The irony is funny though, trashing men and wanting to date them in the same post. Pick a lane lol

While I agree, on the other hand it is THEIR platform that they created.

Yeah you don't want to be posting here with regards to people who say "men are pigs". Blood in the water is smelled easily and we have a wealth of people who will rush to defend all men.

Ive said way crazier shit than that on Facebook and not had it removed. Weird.

My question is how does that make the guy a pig? A jerk or something yeah, but doesnt pig imply he was being gross or only looking for sex or something?

The funniest part is there's more and more women who would report that kind of comment themselves now, because they don't automatically think poorly of all men just because they're women. That's why I've always believed the point that "women are not a hive mind". Plenty of them will prove that on their own when given the chance.

Some of the most ardent critics of women ARE other women. Not "internal misogyny"....but keeping each other IN CHECK instead of being hypocrites.
They're the one's who actually want equality. Not the whiners making entitled sexist gripes on social media...

---
The funny thing about telling others to take the high road is how often it's hypocritical advice.

I've had an inordinate amount of women on Tinder ignore me after we made plans to meet, but I don't blame all women.

It's not offensive. Yes, the reaction would be different if it was a woman. But just because feminists are outraged at every little thing doesn't mean men need to be outraged back.

How about we show by example that little things like some girl on the internet calling all men pigs doesn't bother us?
