Honestly, despite the hype any game gets, if you aren't interested after a few hours you should totally drop it. Fuck anyone who tells you otherwise and to "stick to it because it gets better, trust me." A few hours is plenty of time for a game to hook you, even for an RPG.

Like, for me, I love Xenoblade 2 and think the gameplay is phenomenal, but it doesn't start that way and doesn't actually get to that level until like near the end-game. So if someone's not enjoying it, I'm not gonna tell them to slog through it until the end. That's unreasonable.

I was enjoying XIII before it opened up, but I can understand the distaste. Xenoblade 2 was another beast entirely. I had fun exploring, but the gameplay felt like a complete slog until I decided to look up tutorials online after +40 hours in. Now, I love it! The issue with Death Stranding for me is that I don't want to go through that shit again. Could I like it after a dozen hours? Probably. I'm just burnt out playing games like that. Show me that there's potential to have fun in the beginning.

Should I get Death Stranding or Sekiro

please keep in mind that I rarely have time for gaming so itll probably take me at least 6 months to finish either game. It took me 4 years to finish MGSV. My current backlog in no particular order:

-RDR2
-Fallout 4 (never played but bought the GOTY edition or whatever on Black Friday)
-Witcher 3 (came with my PS4, never played it)
-Batman Arkham City or whatever (same situation as Witcher 3)
-Skyrim
-LOTR Shadow of Mordor

I personally disliked FF13 from start to finish. "Opening up" unfortunately doesn't mean finding interesting or meaningful content in that game.

Anyone play Death Stranding today?

If you're pressed for time then you definitely want to play Death Stranding over Sekiro. You will often be stuck on a boss for an hour or something so it's hard to jump in and out of Sekiro. DS you can play for 15 minutes and accomplish something even if it's small.

Thats what was drawing me to DS. Any time I fire up a game Im in a super relaxed state, so even if its just for 30-40 minutes I enjoy it. Thats why I took my time with MGSV. Id just do a few side ops every couple days and then do a main mission every few weeks when I had the time until I finally finished it.
