ledbowman 12/26/19 4:54:08 AM #1:	What a disappointment. I always try to be positive about these movies and focus on the bright side but this one is really trying. This is a follow up to Empire! Best part is Jabba's court. Just a wonderful display of imagination and technical wizardry. Jabba himself is maybe the most amazing creature in all of Star Wars. John Williams new score is worthy of the rest of the series - a no brainer. Almost everything else is a dud. So boring. Even the throne room scene, to be honest. It's got iconography going for it. A legendary confrontation. But like everything else going on, it feels perfunctory and limp. Endor is a dead zone. Han Solo is a eunuch. The attack on Death Star 2 feels like one last ride, been there done that. That all this stuff is Star Wars - the Falcon, lightsabers, Boba Fett - helps it slide but it shouldn't come down to that. Its laughable but Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher are just like fuck it in that one (maybe cause they were all coked out?) but yeah that one felt shoehorned in.
