It's that left arm/hand stuff that gets to me. I was laying there trying to sleep and my left hand got all tingly. So then I start focusing on that and I start feeling like my whole arm has a strange feel to it.

It's not like pain though, and I don't have pain in my chest. This tingly feeling in my hand still hasn't really gone away after an hour though.

So I just lay around getting myself worked up. If it was actually a heart attack, I'd probably be in terrible pain and realize something is wrong beyond a tingly hand.

Its all good bb. I went to the ER with extreme chest and shoulder pain, and it was diverticulitis. Had surgery to remove 30 growths, one a little bigger than a soft ball.

Chew a couple aspirin and drink a glass of water. If you become overwhelmingly tired and start sweating a lot suddenly consider going to the hospital. Better be safe.

At least you got a diagnosis. I've gone to so many doctors and all I have now is anxiety medication.

I really feel like going back to the ER again.

You would know if you're hsving a heart attack. It's not simple chest pain, it's severe. Like, screaming in abject horror.

My point that I veered very far away from was.....dont let it bother you that much, you were right to think that if you were having an attack youd know.

I mean I should be overwhelmingly tired, it's the middle of the night. Is the sweating thing a necessary part? My head is totally dry.

Well, the arm pain thing is supposed to be a precursor. A warning before the severe pain.

Its almost definitely your anxiety hijacking your state of mind. Not that thats any less of a real problem, but just know that youre not underreacting to the situation.

Anything I have been educated on about a heart attack is the left arm cramping, followed by sudden, overwhelming tiredness and extreme levels of sweating. Chewing asprin during these symptoms can decrease the damage of a heart attack and potentially save your life. If it isn't a heart attack, chewing a couple aspirin will do no harm regardless.

You get the tingling left hand and pain in your arm?

For me, I have these things like skipped heartbeats called PVCs. I've been struggling with them for almost a year now. They get worse after I eat a large meal. At this point since doctors have told me they're nothing to worry about and I expect it to happen, I can mostly ignore it and know that it will calm down a few hours after eating.

Today it's just not calming down though. I've been feeling PVCs for like 6 hours at this point.

Sometimes hanging your arm in a certain way can cause numbness, or laying on your back/side/front with the right pressure from your mattress. Random numbness isn't really that alarming unless it's sudden and it doesn't go away when you move around and focus on getting circulation back.

Would you say if I feel well enough to drive to the ER, that it would not be a heart attack? I live very close to the hospital, less than 5 minute drive. I feel like I could operate my car just like any other time. Should that serve as a reminder that it's nothing serious?

Yeah for sure. It never went numb today but I have had that happen before. It was just tingly and ever since then it still hasn't felt normal again.

Then again I also got like a terrible pinched nerve in my back yesterday that's still bothering me today. That could definitely cause issues in my arm. That's probably what it is but I just can't calm my mind down.

I'm not a medical professional so I can't give you an accurate answer. Maybe call the hospital and describe the situation.

I don't get it as often anymore. This is why they gave you anxiety medication. It's actually crazy how much anxiety can effect your body, even simulating heart attacks. You need to go sit outside and get some fresh air, try to get a drink of choice in and if you can listen to relaxing or ambient music.

Well I eventually got to sleep in my recliner, not in bed. Just sat there with my blood pressure cuff on and would have it go every once in a while. Eventually it got down to 125/85 so I was like ok that's pretty good.

This shit sucks, feeling like this.

Hey man I think it's probably a mixture of your back/nerve hurting and severe case of anxiety.

A few years back I randomly passed out and they kinda explained why it happened, but I didn't fully understand it and ever since then I get this pain on my side and chest. So much so that I had them do like full diagnostics to make sure theres nothing wrong with me.

To this day it comes and goes, but lately it's always there, and I can't help but shake the feeling that something is up and wrong with me.

I had an hour drive home yesterday and about 3 minutes in I had a crazy feeling come over me like I was gonna pass out and my side started hurting, but after a while I think I just convinced myself it's anxiety and made it home.

And yet today I wake up and the pain is back. I also haven't been to the doctor in like 2 years so I should probably just go and get like a full checkup but I'm scared of just wasting my time when it's probably just anxiety issues. But idk.

All of this is to say that I think anxiety can have a pretty crazy effect on you.

Yeah I know it. The crazy part is how I start thinking about it and everything starts slowly getting worse. I'll be like well at least my arm isn't hurting... then a few minutes later sure enough, my arm starts hurting.

Yeah for sure, it's the worst. I'll be having a day where I think "wow I'm not having any issues today" and either later on or the next day it all comes back, which makes it even worse cause then you think "shit something definitely is wrong with me"
