Donald Trump is facing his first critical challenge in the impending coronavirus pandemic as he's asking americans to BELEIVE in him that America is PERFECTLY FINE and that there's NO reason to worry and downplays the virus spread across the world and huge market losses of nearly 3000 points in 3 DAYS whom he blames DEMOCRATS for the market sell off!!

He says the democrats and the media are to blame for the sell off, not the virus because they selling to the american public that virus is a global emergency causing travel restrictions, border shut offs and worried people not spending money because of fears of catching the virus

The unpredictable president has clashed repeatedly with scientists in his own administation and now he seems to be clashing with doctors as Pelosi slams trump for spreading misinformation who cares more about profits than public health

Trump took to twitter to blame Democrats, media and health experts for causing "undue harm and harming american financial markets" because there only has been 60 cases in the US and says it is not a "huge concern"

He singled out MSNBC and CNN that are doing everything possible to make the virus look as bad as possible, including panicking markets and said the "Do Nothing Democrat comrades are all talk, no action. USA in great shape"

But the global markets say otherwise as China is ground zero of the virus and many businesses rely on the country for its products that are made there that will cause huge delays that can cause shortages across the world, including medical supplies.

The CDC is warning people to preparenow when the disease starts spreading as Trump and Kudlow are at odds to keep health experts in the administration on a GAG ORDER so it doesn't further set the markets tumbling

Trump expressed deep concern to aides about the impact on markets to his team as his strong economy is his Number 1 argument for reelection and needs his a strong economy to boast to voters to reelect him but his handling of the coronavirus may backfire if it continues to be widespread and he ignores the problem

The coronavirus is similar to that of the flu in which it causes pneumonia and is more deadly as there is no cure for it yet and could take a YEAR or TWO to get a vaccine.

The stock market is down because manufacturing is down in China due to quarantines which is going to cause product shortages.

I don't know about what he's said on twitter but I actually watched that press conference live and that's not accurate.

He said he thought the possibility of the candidates becoming elected played a part but he also mentioned the disruption of the global supply train.

Though he did disagree with the CDC's statement on inevitability. Probably because he didn't want it to further affect the market.

The stock market doesn't have a political bias. It's not really an indicator of how well the country is doing, just rich people who own the vast majority of shares.

I was looking at the S&P 500 history today, and it's fucking nuts how much it shot up in the last 6 months in particular (and of course, it's been increasing steadily for years now before that). A "bear market" is apparently if it drops 20% from the "recent peak". But that peak was so stupidly pumped up that it could fall to 2700 points (ie, still higher than it was half a year ago) and be considered a "bear market"!

Shit is gonna have to plummet a lot further than a technical "bear market" before I jump in. These indexes are just such massive bubbles right now. It's sickening how much the Federal Reserve has done to manipulate things and keep those stocks climbing, with no regard for how it'll fuck us over later on.

Mitch McConnel was on air saying that his entire job while Obama was the President was to try to stop him from achieving anything. Obama wanted to work with the Republicans to get things accomplished and try to compromise they said fuck that.

Put in "demcrat block Trump" in google and look at how basically every action Trump has done has had Democrats actively blocking him. Look at the pre-election statements made of Democrats saying they intend to obstruct Trump.

How exactly is enforcing border security "racist"? Especially on a country that has millions of people illegally (and unknowingly) crossing into our country and skipping all legal procedures to do so? Usually I'm the devil's advocate and pretty much (very accurately) tell people that the market is going to recover, but this time it's looking very serious.

Yeah this was coming for a while... if it's not now, (and it's looking like it) it will come later.

If we're talking politics, politically this will hurt Trump just in time for the election... but if the super delegates steal the primary from Bernie's snowballing victories (and so far 93 have confirmed they will override the votes) it won't matter, Trump will win and there will be huge protests. And I will be there. These people talk about Democracy being threatened by Russia all day, and here they go being outright Dictators handing Trump the election because they don't like the person we voted for instead of the fake robots they keep pushing. /tangent

If you go back in history, there's a conspiracy against most modern presidents on the left and right that Russia is helping them. It's just McCarthyism, and it works in every date. Never any specifics on exactly how they're doing it, of course.

On the MSNBC meltdown day they accused Bernie of collaborating with Russia, which was asinine. The funniest part is that Trump came out and defended him.

Jimmy Carter came out last year and called Trump a Putin puppet, even though he was accused of the exact same thing.
