Basically ya,

You can quicksave at ANY time, but I don't... I'll be 40 minutes into a dungeon crawl meticulously looting everything and then a Giant Frostbite Spider will be like "bitch, you shoulda saved!"

I'm so damned paranoid about save file corruption or Bethesda games freezing up or crashing on their own that I probably hard save every 10-15 minutes or so. And I stagger saves, so I've usually got at least a dozen active slots at any given time. By the end of any given run, I'm bordering on save file numbers creeping up in the multiple hundreds.

Also, entirely unrelated to this topic (and that last post), I'm currently reinstalling Skyrim right now because I just finished my last Stardew Valley run and have gotten bored of running my Ancient Fruit Wine empire.

Ok, I just did the quest where you have to poison the Honningbrew boiler... but the taste test happens immediately, how did the poisoned mead get from the boiler to the taste test?

Yeah, I've done that before.

Basically, when you're fighting the boss, you can Shout the sword off the pedestal. Then you pick it up off the floor before clicking the pedestal to complete the quest. You wind up with two copies.

Because I have a tendency to dual wield swords (and was doing that the first time I accidentally duped the sword), I wound up wielding them both for a while.

The only downside of it is that it doesn't temper right. And that the undead explosion power can be a problem if you're using Serana as a follower.

I save into a new slot before I open anything in those games now and dont do anything before searching each dungeon/building on the Wiki, reading what quests or items might be in there, also any related bugs or glitches. It seems tedious, but its better than having to go back two-hundred hours because you messed something up that was easily preventable.

If only there was a way to build a game and test it first or patch it later.....

Ok, 76 hours into the Special Edition and it's getting rather stale...

I like the dungeon dives,and while the game does scale loot and enemies - it doesn't scale satisfaction: For example, I have around 300k gold from just mulching dragon bones into armour, enchanting it, and selling them for more money than anyone can carry... so gold has lost its value, which means LOOT has lost its value, which means FIGHTING has lost its value, which means the GAME has lost its value!~!

Well, other than the story, but I took care of that like 8 years ago

I could shift down to ez mode or just craft god items to grind out the achievements... but, frankly I don't have an interest in that - I already did it with the original.

I just don't understand how the enemies can be doing 300~400 damage per hit but I have to plink at them with Mehrun's Razor and hope for the instant kill 'cuz they take 50~ish hits

Just do the alchemy enchantment. I forgot what the cap is but it gives you insanely powerful weapons.

I know I could, but that would just sidestep the fundamental issue.

I mean, I don't know 'why' the enemies are the way they are (beyond scaling, I'm talking about the same classification of enemy).
