You see it on trains and in buildings and stuff, and it's not just the UK that use it - people say it in Germany, too (or used to, don't know how common it is these days).

You gotta remember unlike the US most UK homes don't have air conditioning, many don't even have heating.

Yeah the heating thing is BS and the window in the toilet door thing isn't a thing anymore also they never opened from what I can remember though as stated before this going back years.

Because a sitcom is an 100% accurate representation. Thats like me getting all my info on the US from Friends. You have been told my multiple people that live here that its not really a thing anymore though in some older houses where they havent changed the door there is probably still the odd one or two.

You can see for yourself, go to any UK rental/property site and look at the pictures, most bathrooms have windows

It's cool and yeah my house has a window in the bathroom as the house was built in the 30s but the door itself is much newer and doesn't have one.
