Im just asking because Im staying in a hotel overnight next week in another state. My wife and I are going to hike a couple trails and take our dog to a dog beach. This guy was having a meltdown at me because Im not staying home.

I'd say traveling right now if you don't have to is a bad idea. It's this mixing and mingling with other people and places that's driving the spread.

Depends on where you're coming from, where you're going, and how responsible you're being. Overall people should just chill for now, but I realize much of the world is not still in the same shitty situation the US is.

I think location is a factor here. It's kind of a dick move to travel somewhere that's unusually isolated and/or has limited medical service. In other words, there's a big difference between someone traveling to Denver for outdoor excursions, and someone traveling to Kodiak, AK to bar crawl and breathe all over everybody.

Otherwise, if the travelers are wearing masks, social distancing, sanitizing and not doing close-contact shit like concert mosh pits, I do not care at all if they travel.

The guy who had a meltdown at you sounds like one of those keyboard warriors who won't be satisfied with anyone who's unwilling to be an inanimate object for the duration of COVID.
