I certainty was not a straight A student but I had the typical Asian parents, the typical Asian mindset, and friends who were in AP and Honor classes. Doing homework was the norm and expected and though I had less than likeable high school teachers, I still did what I was told. My school was basically the same. You had to ask for homework (not counting writing papers), and it was added to your grade so that if you tested poorly you could still pass by putting in extra work. Homework in middle/highschool was basically "here is a bunch of random crap we didn't have time to fit into your classwork". If I couldn't get it done during lunch or study hall, I certainly wasn't going to do it at home. --- I am a Contract Software Developer. What does that mean?
