It's pretty clear that at no point in time was this game ever "ready" for release. I cannot believe it passed certification. That's just it. Many, many man hours and delays were likely due to trying their damndest to get it to function on last gen consoles, as that's where all the money would be made at first, and also why they hid the base versions from view until release. If they'd have made it next gen/pc only after a year or so ago, it could have launched in a much better state. They also put the damn thing on stadia. If they'd delayed it again to be only next gen/pc, they'd have never made any money off the game or made back dev costs. The only way this game would make any money is by being on last gen consoles.
