However, there's been numerous cases where police brutality/misconduct contradicting their "official report" has been revealed by cameras and saved the victims from jail. There's also been instances of false accusations (like a random woman claiming a dad shopping w/ his kid is actually a kidnapper/pedo and trying to create a scene, for example) where the existence of security footage saved the victim.
