Nebraska is probably best known for the Runza, which is basically a bread pocket filled with a mixture of ground beef, onion, cabbage and spices.

I don't particularly care for them myself. I think it's the cabbage, it just makes it taste off to me.

I live near Pittsburgh and I was going to say the Pierogie but it may not be as local as I thought, since apparently there is a Pierogie festival in Indiana, and of course as we know people like 'em in Philly(yes yes sunny wife restaurant spelled wrong guhh). However at Pittsburgh Pirates home games there is a Pierogie race, which is kinda interesting.

I guess a true local delicacy is a Primanti Brothers sandwich, since it was created here. It is a sandwich on thick bread with basically any meat you choose topped with french fries and coleslaw. I like 'em.

IMO it isn't the greatest thing ever, but I enjoy them a lot. I can definitely see why people don't like them though.

Probably Taylor Ham/pork roll, egg, and cheese. Not really a fan of it myself.

Other than that, probably just Italian food in general. Or maybe boardwalk food like french fries or saltwater taffy.

Alberta is just known for beef. We aren't cultured enough to actually have a specific recipe for it though.

The closest thing I can think of as an actual Alberta recipe is the Caesar drink. Can't say I'm a fan.

Head south and food gets better :D

Mexican street food is what I'd say my area in Arizona is known for. The tacos and burritos are so good...so good! The meat is always juicy, the tortillas are fresh, and everything is usually at a pretty decent price. It makes chipotle look like wanna be over priced food and taco bell just looks like crap except for any impulsive fast food cravings.
There are rarely arguments over who is best cause there is just so much good food.
Come October, there's a local food festival that shows off everyone's local cuisine that is top notch!

I'm from San Jose and we're known for being a big hotspot for pho as well as the "orange sauce" found at most our local taquerias (started and popularized by La Victoria's, but every taqueria in downtown I can think of has their own spin on it).

I've lived in plenty of other places with plenty of iconic food, but I'm currently living in Las Vegas and I'm not sure which foods define it. I guess something overpriced with an unnecessary gold leaf or something... Though there is a lot of excellent food out here.

Clam juice ("Clamato") actually isn't bad. I have some in my fridge right now from Christmas (the only time of year I buy it). I usually add a bit of pepper to it before I drink it.

Mixing it with hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and vodka to make a Caesar definitely doesn't make it better, though.

idk, if our idiot governor keeps up with these idiotic lockdowns, I'm probably going to consider moving to a state that cares about having a functional economy (which CT has never been big into). CT in general is responsible for many of this nation's worst politicians. I constantly have to apologize for the likes of Chris "TMNT is too violent for children" Murphy and Dick Blumenthal (and, prior to that, Joe Lieberman).
