I rarely use a Honor Band 5 to track how many miles I walk, steps and for the time. I however don't like things on my wrist so just use my phone for the time in most cases.

its the most efficient way to know what time it is, plus any added features like a stopwatch or timer are just easier to use in watch form as opposed to a phone.

To tell the time. I prefer wearing one to checking my phone, and I've been wearing them longer than I've been using cell phones.

Added features? When was the last time you saw a phone?

I wear a fitness tracker (Garmin vivosmart HR+); I use it to tell time, act as a stopwatch and see my activity stats.

I haven't worn a watch for 15 years. I really like certain watch designs but the only way I'd wear one again is if I got rich and bought luxury ones as a fashion statement.

I use my smartwatch for notifications and fitness tracking.

This was me just a few minutes ago:

I walked for about 50 minutes, then got the pole saw, trimmed some trees overhanging the driveway, then dragged the limbs back to give to the goats. That's why there are occasional drops in mph in the second half.

Time and I collect the automatic Omegas as I like to hear them tick when I am stressed as a mood relaxer.

I have a Movado, so I only wear it out on occasion.

Collecting automatic omegas because you like to hear the tick(more noticeable on a quartz watch, which omega also makes) is kinda weird.

i only buy $20 watches that usually break in like a year or two. which is fine. there are so many cool looking cheap watches out there.

Man just buy any casio digital watch. They should survive for years, however I don't know what you do to your watches they only last for a year or two.

Most people nowadays seem to use watches for fitness reasons (surprised not an option in the poll) but PotD isnt really known for fitness so surprised not many people claiming that reason.

i buy them because they look good and i feel naked when my left wrist isnt wearing anything. no way im getting a casio watch, those are too old school looking.
also every single watch i bought has been complimented and is sometimes good conversation starter.

I wear a solar powered analog and digital watch for both time and backup compass.

I go backpacking occasionally and depending on the type of trip, would have my phone off and use a digital camera instead for photos.

Pretty much just to track my runs. Ive had 73 miles logged this month but that may slow down now that the baby is here and Im adjusting to a broken sleep schedule.
