I assume it does something. Also you can give them specific places they mow so they don't wander everywhere.

Yeah I typically have many handymen about the park designated to certain areas, and some only cut grass.

Never bothered seeing what mowing did, honestly. Dudes are always so busy with barf and garbage, lawn care always seemed like a waste of time. It was great discovering the signs that can turn paths into one-ways, though. That way, you can connect all the ride exits in a region to one long corridor, making maintenance and garbage cleanup way easier.

It's mainly to help the park rating as guests will comment on the scenery. I like to make flowerbeds around rest and concession areas. Add a fountain in places, and cut grass can always help.
