Attitude_Era 08/05/21 10:20:48 PM #1:	I'm 23. Living in possibly the worst country in the world (India). Always dreamt of leaving this place and settling abroad but I can't do it. Family can't afford it. Parents are very old. Dad works job and barely makes enough for us to eat. Mom is sick and needs help to even get out of bed and go to the bathroom. Have an older brother who is around 30. Lives in our house, never married or had GFs (says he doesn't want to either), no job. I think I'll end up the same way. Parents kept me too sheltered and I never learned anything. The place is filthy - trash everywhere, congested, open sewers/drains, people honk all the time for no reason. Cows roam the streets and leave their dung everywhere (it's worse during the rain) and I also see people taking dumps in the open. Whole place smells like a sewer and there are also a lot of creeps/pervs. Even though I'm male, I have been sexually harrassed. I can't even imagine what the average female here goes through. I talked to a friend of mine about this. He's a total recluse, never leaves house and all. He said just get used to it man. I don't think I can. It's very hard to find a job as well. I can't even make enough money to get out. Parents don't allow me to do anything. Going through severe depression now to the point where I can feel the physical toll it's taking on my body. This is a place where access and freedom is around but its not like in America where literally anything and everything can happen. I say if you have dreams of coming here, really form a plan that will allow you to do so and put every single effort possible into making it happen no matter how long. The goal is just basically an imaginary number so just make up some imaginary solutions until they sound viable to you.. what would you have to do? What have you noticed people have done to do that.. what do you know provides an option to be available in the world without giving up the kind of life that suits you. Sometimes you do have to make adjustments yknow? What I can tell you is that youll say its absolutely say this iz amazing tbh - I know this because my cousins said the same thing when they got here.. I feel bad they left in a way honestly.. but you can try the same and perhaps you may even decide to leave it all and just stay here Be the best influencer of content thats not getting much play and kill it at that tbh, then get people to go fund your trip edit: oh yeah! Do that then, you have your brother talk about mental health and your perspective on that in terms of India! I always have this fear of losing my glasses or lenses too because I'm nearly blind without them. I don't ask much. I don't wanna get married or have kids. It is also possible that I may go blind in my 60s or 70s. There is family history of Glaucoma and Retinal detachment and I know I inherited some of those genes. I don't even wanna live that long. I did that because I felt like the same way as you and perhaps you dont have to go through an entire miasma of crap like I did if youre smart about it You have your brother, shit, maybe hed like to go too? Become the team you need to get the fuck outta there and move out. You cant feel bad when you have honest intentions and a love that is true for your fam. Thats just my 2 cents though, I say this because I do have a cousin with the same feelings and he does have it a little bit better over there it seems in terms of freedom with his parents so me not saying it to you.. Always makes me feel guilty and bad even when there is no fault of mine. He has a narcissistic personality. Can't ask him for anything.
