Trying to get a gauge on my spending. I understand that some places might get blasted by heat and need more AC

I'm at about 150-180 in my new place.

Depending on the month, I tend to pay between 45 and 90 for the electrical in my apartment. I'm in western WA.

Los Angeles County, California. Between my mum and me, we average about $50-70ish a month I think. During exceptionally cold / hot days we run the heater / AC but typically just rely on space heaters / floor fans.

"How much you pay for electricity" should probably be asking how many dollars per kWh, for example

I believe this topic should be asking "what is your monthly electrical bill"

Take me for what I am -- who I was meant to be.
And if you give a damn, take me baby, or leave me.

Nobody knows that off the top of their head though and doesn't want to look it up

I try to keep mine under $100 and usually succeed, though I'd love to be around $60, but that's hard in any months where I need to run the heat/AC

How often do you run your AC? I just run mine so I can sleep, if it's 83 in my house during the day I just live with it

During the day it is on a lot. I also have to run fans constantly because the AC is not well circulated. If it is 83 in my place I wouldn't deal with it. I might have to though.

I was spoiled by my old place which had no sun facing windows, was smaller, and got a lot of free temperature control from being surrounded by neighbors. I almost never ran the AC or Heat.

My new place has floor to ceiling windows that get direct sunlight during the day. It will get into the 80s if left unchecked.

Looks like adjustments will need to be made, tinting the windows, dealing with hotter temperatures.

Billed quarterly, last one was AUD$295.24, which turns out to be around USD$210-ish. Four people in the house with a lot of constantly connected devices.
